Lately alot has been going great for the Chant Boyz....awesome songs, great fans, our very own website, and an upcoming performance at a major club/ bar in Greenvile, NC. The only way it could be better as if we got signed by a major or independent label. Life was good...
...But as the saying goes, "What goes up, must come down" and rite now we're down. The Full Nelson where we were suppose to perform at is closing down two weeks before our performance due to "The Man". And now that school has started back up, us "students" have more responsibilities as well as new jobs which are complicating with our studio time as well as making it hard for our mixtape deadline to stay in one place. All our schedules collide and its almost impossible to make it work.
But i refuse to let us be history like every other "rapper". I put too much on the line and too much time in making this work to just let it vanish like that. I don't care what it takes to do this music...So get at me!

The Definition of Me
The best person to define you is yourself. people may be judgemental and form opinions about you without getting to know you, but if you know yourself things they say cant hurt you. So with that said this is the definition of Rey Kay and Corey Knoxville.
First off, i have 3 sides: Corey Knoxville (Knox for short),Deonte King, and Rey Kay. These are my three personalities.
Corey Knox-Corey Knox is the wild, fun, partying side...everybody loves his personality. He loves to have fun, do crazy things, make people laugh, and be lively. He can be compared to super crazy Johnny Knoxville.
Rey Kay-Rey Kay is the more realistic side. Anything he does he takes it seriously and does it to the best of his abilities. He thinks more about his decisions then Corey Knox. But like Knox, he knows how to have fun.
Deonte King- He is not as heard about as the others because of his personality. Deonte is the emotional, i'm-all-alone, unique one. He is depressed majority of the time because he always thinks about his past. He keeps to himself alot because he doesn't fit in.
I embrace all of my personalities, never matter what their good or bad traits are. I try to make them as one as possible so no one can tell the difference. But this is who i am. This is me, and i love who i am.
In a recent song i wrote i came up wit a quote that basically defines my behavior:
"Exposed to 2 different worlds, so the gucci might show but the louie is my girl"
Although i dont rap about hood or gangsta things, i have been exposed 2 it in my earlier days. So things i might do will confuse you. I must admit, i am a very complex person. But i did come up with a explaination. Gucci (reference to Gucci Mane) is the hood or ghetto side of my behavior and Louie (reference to the Louie Vuitton Don, Kanye West) is more layed back, professional side. Gucci may show at times but Louie is how i live no matter what.

My First Blog...I Mean What Else You Want To Call It???
Soooo...I finally gotta blog site up and runnin. It took me long enuff but don't stress it cuz its herre now. But anyway my first blog is to mostly introduce myself. So first off, my name is Corey Knoxville BKA Rey Kay. I was alledgedly born Sept 4th, in Norfolk, Va. But in all actuality, I'm from the planet Pluto on the north side. I'm African and Native American although the native gene never really made it on the trip thru my mother's uterus. I reside in Greenville, NC. I am musically talented. I play piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, but drums are my first love...I also produce beats and write songs. The only thing I can't do musically is read notes (I'm tryna learn though). I am in a new rap group called The Chant Boyz (www.myspace.com/chantboyz). We are very unique in are style so check us out. There's me, Tra Beezy, Yankee Da Kidd, and Mike Rob. We rock!
